Rahul allowing foreign hands to script vote chori narrative: BJP

Asking whether the “dialogue he was delivering in India was being written somewhere else”, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla asked whether Gandhi was “acting as per directions from abroad”.

The BJP Thursday accused Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi of allowing “foreign hands to script” the narrative of the Opposition’s “vote chori (theft)” campaign.

Citing metadata of PDF files uploaded on Gandhi’s website, BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari alleged that the timeline was set to Myanmar’s timezone, and that these “weren’t made in India”. The Congress is yet to respond to the allegations.

“Who was the ‘foreign BOSS’ driving Rahul Gandhi’s remote control… On 7th Aug 2025, Rahul Gandhi held a press conference shouting about ‘vote theft’ and uploaded PDFs on http://RahulGandhi.in in English, Hindi & Kannada. Investigation uncovers shocking facts,” Bhandari said on X.

“Metadata of all 3 PDFs shows Myanmar timezone (+6:30 MMT). Files exported via Adobe Illustrator… PDFs shared through Google Drive metadata remain intact. These so-called ‘evidences’ weren’t made in India. They were created on a system set to Myanmar timezone… his own toolkit exposes how foreign hands are scripting India’s Opposition narrative. Rahul Gandhi, Congress & his entire coterie is very dangerous for democracy,” he said.

Asking whether the “dialogue he was delivering in India was being written somewhere else”, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla asked whether Gandhi was “acting as per directions from abroad”.

“An investigation has revealed that the press conference which Rahul Gandhi had done with PDFs… which were later shared by Congress itself, may have spoken about Bharat but were made outside Bharat in Myanmar,” he said. “The question which arises is whether the democratic deficit which you are trying to create in Bharat, is the dialogue that you are delivering for it having its script being written somewhere else?… Are you being played like a puppet by a foreign hand?” he said.
