Congress MP Digvijaya Singh Tuesday accused the government of “getting people with the ruling party’s ideology through the backdoor” in educational institutions.
Starting the discussion on the working of the Education Ministry, Singh said that over 5,400 faculty posts are vacant in central universities and there are contractual appointments there. “This is a clever way of getting in people with the ruling party’s ideology through the backdoor in the educational institutions. Will you give contractual teachers training?” he said.
DMK MP Kanomozhi NVN Somu spoke about the Centre not releasing funds to Tamil Nadu for not implementing the PM SHRI scheme that mandates following the NEP. She said that the three-language policy was just a “backdoor entry for Hindi” and so the state was opposed to it.
