Passport Seva Portal to be down from August 29 to September 2

Passport Seva Portal will remain unavailable from August 29 to September 2 due to technical maintenance, a notice by the PSP division of the External Affairs Ministry stated

All Regional Passport Offices have announced a temporary close on Aug 30.(Representational File)

The online Passport Seva Portal will remain unavailable from 8 pm today (Thursday) to 6 am on September 2 (Monday).

A notice on the official website reads: “Passport Seva portal will be down for technical maintenance from 29th August 2024, Thursday 20:00 hrs IST to 2nd September, Monday 06:00 hrs IST. System will not be available during this period for citizens and for all MEA/RPO/BOI/ISP/DoP/Police Authorities.”

The notice further stated that all appointments booked on August 30 have been rescheduled, and applicants will be informed about the rescheduled dates via SMS on their registered numbers.

The temporary shutdown of services is due to technical maintenance.

The Chandigarh Regional Passport Office issued a notice stating that the General Enquiry walk-in Counter at the main office, Sector 34A will remain closed on August 30. Meanwhile, all Passport Seva Kendras in under Regional Passport Office, Ranchi, will also remain closed on Friday.
