The Standing Committee on Railways has advised to review and consider concessions to senior citizens at least in sleeper and 3AC classes, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed the Rajya Sabha on Friday.

Some MPs raised the issue of the restoration of concessions to senior citizens in trains and asked the minister for recommendations of the parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways in this regard.

"Standing Committee on Railways has advised to review and consider concession to senior citizens at least in sleeper and 3AC," Vaishnaw said in a written reply. (PTI)

As of July 28, 2025, a total of 79.71 crore accounts for the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) have been created, and around 65.09 crore health records have been linked to it, Minister of State for Health Prataprao Jadhav told the Lok Sabha on Friday.

In a written reply, he stated that around 4.17 lakh health facilities have been registered in the Health Facility Registry (HFR), and approximately 6.76 lakh healthcare professionals are registered on it. (PTI)

India's import of Di Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) from China has declined sharply and stood at 97,000 tonnes in July this year, Parliament was informed on Friday. DAP is the second most consumed fertiliser after urea in India.

Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers Anupriya Patel said DAP import from China declined from approximately 22.28 lakh tonnes in 2023-24 to about 8.47 lakh tonnes in 2024-25 as reported by fertiliser companies.

"In July 2025, approximately 0.97 lakh tonnes of DAP have been imported from China," the minister said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha. (PTI)
