A person was arrested for allegedly raping a married woman at Diamond Harbour in South 24-Parganas district,a police official said.

26-year-old Bibhas Haldar was arrested yesterday from the Diamond Harbour area on the basis of a complaint filed by the married woman who lives in Kolkata. The victim is well known to Bibhas.

“According to the compliant the woman was (allegedly) raped by this man in Diamond Harbour area yesterday evening. The investigation has started,” said a police official of Bowbazar police station where the complaint has been filed.
