A Haryana bureaucrat has been sentenced to five years imprisonment for fraudulently publishing challan books.

A Haryana bureaucrat has been sentenced to five years imprisonment for fraudulently publishing challan books.

Karnal additional district and sessions judge Ravi Kumar found Deveshwar Dayal guilty of fraudulently publishing fine-books during his tenure as general manager in Haryana Roadways,Karnal from October 20,1999 to May 21,2001.

Dayal was sent to a five-year jail term. A fine of Rs 45,000 was also imposed on him,an official release said.
