The seven-member all-party delegation led by DMK leader Kanimozhi landed in Moscow on Thursday. However, the delegation had to face a delay in landing due to a drone attack, but the aircraft later landed safely.

As per sources close to the DMK leader, the flight had to circle several times before landing.

“It circled in the air and later landed and there was a delay of 45 minutes. She (Kanimozhi) landed safely,” sources close to Kanimozhi said here on Friday.

The visit by seven delegations to 32 countries is part of the government’s diplomatic push to isolate Pakistan internationally. The delegations would convey to foreign capitals that India had been a victim of terror emanating from its neighbouring country, and the world should not equate India and Pakistan – one a victim of terror and the other the perpetrator.

List of MPs to lead the seven delegations:

1) Shashi Tharoor, Congress
2) Ravi Shankar Prasad, BJP
3) Sanjay Kumar Jha, JD(U)
4) Baijayant Panda, BJP
5) Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, DMK
6) Supriya Sule, NCP
7) Shrikant Eknath Shinde, Shiv Sena
