The husbands of two candidates were booked for violence and influencing voters in Moga district on Sunday. ASI Balbir Singh of Badni Kalan police station said block samiti candidate from Sanjha Morcha,Surjit Kaurs husband Nirmal Singh has been booked for carrying his licenced weapon and threatening voters and ordering them to vote for the outfit.

In Ajitwal area of Dharamkot,police registered case against Jarnail Singh,husband of zila parishad Congress candidate Sukhwinder Kaur. Jarnail Singh is an Assistant Inspector in Punjab Armed Police. The case against him was registered on the complaint of one Swaran Kaur,a resident of village Kishanpura Kalan who belongs to Scheduled Caste. She alleged that Jarnail Singh barged into her home and hurled caste-based abuses and threatened them to vote for the Congress.
