Acting tough against unauthorised constructions and misuse of properties in the city,the MCD today sealed 11 buildings and demolished illegal portions in 21 structures in North Delhi.
The major sealing and demolition drive was undertaken in Civil Line Zone by the Building Department with the help of local police,officials said.
Properties were sealed in Jawahar Nagar and Burari while demolition action was taken in Jahangirpuri,Kamla Nagar,Sant Nagar,Burari,Kewal Park,Adarsh Nagar,Mukherjee Nagar,Shakti Nagar and Model Town.
The MCD started acting tough against unauthorised constructions after a building with illegal floors collapsed in east Delhi in November last year killing 71 people.
