Manmohan Singh,Narendra Modi to share dais in Ahmedabad today

Singh and Modi will share the stage to inaugurate a museum dedicated to Vallabhbhai Patel's life.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi ,will share the stage at the function to inaugurate a museum dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s life on Tuesday.

The museum has been built by the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Memorial Society.

Two days later,on October 31,Modi would be laying the foundation stone of a gigantic statue of the first Home Minister of the country near Sardar Sarovar Dam. 

For the groundbreaking ceremony of a giant statue,Modi has invited the Union minister for rural development Jairam Ramesh.

In a letter to Ramesh,Modi said that the 182-metre high statue of Sardar Patel,located in the middle of Narmada River,3.5 km south of the Sardar Sarovar dam at Kevadia,Narmada district,would stand at twice that of ‘Statue of Liberty’ and with bench marked standards that are superior to comparable structures in the world.
