Breaking his silence,Chand Mohammad on Tuesday expressed his love for both his wives saying while he respects his first wife and will fulfill all duties towards his children he has not deserted his latest love Fiza.

A day after his second wife hurled abuses against him,Chand said he has not divorced Fiza.

“If I had gone away for a few days it does not imply that our relations have broken,” Chand told a news channel.

“I believe in love and affection…I respect her a lot. I am not annoyed with her,” he said.

But in the same vein he also expressed his affection for his first wife Seema. “I also respect Seema. And I would fulfill all my duties that are towards my children.”

He also felt Fiza should have maintained some restraint. “I don’t want to comment on her accusations but she should have acted with restraint. It’s not right.”

Chand wondered about Fiza’s behaviour saying,”I don’t know why she is abusing me,I am quite amazed by her behaviour.

“The question of going back to her (Fiza) would have been there if I had left her or due to any other issue. Anyone can go anywhere for travel.”

Chander Mohan, the 43-year-old son of former Haryana chief minister Bhajan Lal,created a stir just two months ago by converting to Islam to marry former Additional Advocate General Anuradha Bali alias Fiza and proclaimed his “undying” love for her in public. He changed his name to Chand Mohammad.

On Fiza’s accusation that she is facing threat from Bhajan Lal’s family,he said “I fail to understand from whom she is facing threat.”

He also said he will soon visit the Taj Mahal and the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti in Ajmer.
