SYP protests violence against women

JALANDHAR: Dal Khalsa’s youth wing,Sikh Youth of Punjab (SYP),on Sunday held a road show to express their anguish and concern over the rise of drug menace,apostasy,criminalisation of politics and sexual violence against women.

Police stop minor’s marriage in Jalandhar

JALANDHAR: The Jalandhar Police stopped the marriage of a minor girl on Sunday after her father complained that his wife was getting the girl married to a 28-year-old man. The father said his daughter is 16 years old and that his wife had taken money from the groom’s side,ASI Rakesh Kumar said. No case was registered in this regard.

‘All Haryana districts to have model school’

Charkhi Dadri: A model school will be opened in all districts of Haryana,Education Minister Geeta Bhukkal said on Sunday. The state government had initiated various welfare schemes to raise the level of education,she said after inaugurating a school.
