Bodies of two minor girls, both school students, were found hanging from a tree at a village in Assam’s Karimganj district, police said Friday.
The bodies of the girls — one a Class X student and the other a Class IX student — were hanging from a tree at Dalgram village in Nilambazaar police station area Thursday.
After an initial investigation, the bodies were sent for post mortem to Silchar Medical College Hospital Friday, a senior police official said.No arrest has been made yet and security was tightened in and around the village to prevent any untoward incident, the police official said.
