Under attack over the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, the ruling Samajwadi Party Tuesday took the fight to the BJP camp accusing the saffron party’s state unit president Laxmikant Bajpai of extorting money from slaughter-houses in Meerut and Aligarh districts.

Senior party leader and Cabinet minister Shivpal Yadav also gave an ultimatum to Bajpai and two Union ministers from UP “to mend their ways in a month” or he will expose them. He did not disclose the names of the ministers.

“They are liars, fraud and are frustrated due to our development works. They have forgotten political courtesy. I am giving them warning and one month’s time and if they don’t mend ways, I will expose them,” Shivpal told reporters here.
