Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday night condemned the terror attack on a Shiite mosque in Kabul and asserted that “all sanctuaries, safe havens and support to such terrorists must end” for regional peace. He said that “India stands with Afghanistan” in its fight against terrorism.

“For regional peace and security, all sanctuaries, safe havens and support to such terrorists must end.

“We strongly condemn the heinous terrorist attack today on a Shia shrine in Kabul & condole loss of innocent lives,” the Prime Minister said on Twitter.

A suicide bomber struck a Shiite mosque in the Afghan capital on Monday, killing 32 people, the UN office said, the second large-scale attack targeting minority Shiites in Kabul in just over a month.
