The Spoken Tutorial Project based at IIT Bombay has tied up with Community Radio (CR) Connect — a platform of functional and upcoming CR stations in India — to broadcast a series of 35 episodes on the science behind day-to-day observations.

The series titled ‘Science in Everyday Life’ is based on the 6th standard CBSE science syllabus and seeks to make scientific concepts accessible through a dramatised format.

Science in Everyday Life will be broadcasted in Hindi three days a week on CR Connect’s FM 107.8, which currently transmits in over 212 villages across three districts, namely Alwar and Deeg in Rajasthan and Nuh in Haryana.

“The idea behind this initiative is to provide high-quality education to children in their mother tongue. With this, we are also studying the impact an initiative like this can have on society,” said Professor Kannan M.

Moudgalya, head of the Spoken Tutorial Project and Erach and Meheroo Mehta Advanced Education Technology Chair Professor, IIT-Bombay.
