Indian Railways, Foggy Season Travel Alert: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) zone of Indian Railways has decided to cancel and reduce the frequency of several long-distance trains during the winter months. The decision aims to ensure safe and smooth train operations amid the upcoming foggy season.

In a statement, Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), NFR said: “To ensure smooth and safe train operations during the upcoming foggy season, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to cancel and reduce the frequency of selected trains during the period from 1st December 2025 to 3rd March 2026. These proactive measures aim to maintain safety, punctuality and operational efficiency during periods of reduced visibility in northern and eastern India.”
