Schulich School of Business (SSB) of York University in Canada has partnered with S P Jain Business School to launch its programme.

The move comes in the backdrop of Foreign Educational Institutions Bill to be tabled in Budget Session of Parliament.

“We partnered with S P Jain Business school yesterday hoping that we could have our own campus soon once the Foreign Educational Institutions Bill gets cleared soon,” Prof Dezso J Horvath, chair in strategic management at the Schulich School of Business said.

“We hope that the Bill will be tabled in the upcoming budget session of Indian Parliament with a positive nod for our full entry,” he said.

Horvath who also serves on the Board of directors of several Canadian corporations and organisations said, the programme launched yesterday was for 30 Indian students.

“But these Indian students will get advantage of faculties from SSB for seven courses of the core programme out of the total ten,” he said.

When asked how economical it would be,he said,“in the first year,it would not be economical at all for us but once the foreign University Act is passed by the Parliament, then we will cater to stable international faculty in India for international students. Then it would be economical,”Horvath said.
