Dalit outreach, OTT, Bangladeshi Hindus on agenda for RSS meeting on Oct 25-26

According to Sangh office bearers, the agenda for the meeting has already been set by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s Vijaydashmi speech earlier this month in Nagpur and the meeting will discuss how to take forward the issues raised by him.

“The meeting will discuss steps to ensure how the society can stay together as a cohesive unit without becoming prey to misleading information. Then he (Bhagwat) had spoken about the adverse impact of the content provided by internet platforms on children and the need for their regulation. That too will be discussed. The focus of the discussions basically will be on how social harmony can be created … What we have done and what more needs to be done in this direction,” RSS publicity in-charge Sunil Ambekar said Wednesday.

Ambekar said the meeting will also discuss how the Sangh can take the messages of great personalities such as Dayanand Sarswati, Birsa Munda, Ahilyabai Holkar, and Rani Durgawati to the society. These were all personalities that Bhagwat had spoken about in his speech.

The meeting’s focus on Dalit outreach and social harmony comes ahead of the crucial Maharashtra and Jharkhand polls, where Congress has once again made caste census a poll pitch.

Apart from these issues, the Karyakari Mandal Baithak will also discuss Sangh centenary celebration in terms of expansion of RSS work. The meeting will also deliberate on special celebrations of Vijayadashmi festival next year in Nagpur and elsewhere in the country.
