Leading from Alinagar seat by 8500 votes, BJP leader Maithili Thakur said that she never doubted the results. âI am feeling really good. The love people have shown me and my party is heartwarming. I will be there for the people in the coming five years. I am a daughter of this soil and never saw voters as just voters, but as family, and people have responded the same way. Iâm just 25, but I will prove myself in the days ahead,â she said.
After the NDA crossed the majority mark, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that Bihar is going to write a new chapter in its history. The people of Bihar trust PM Modi and Nitish Kumar, and under their leadership, both the country and the state are progressing. "Those who claimed to form the government now appear to be the third-largest party, with the lowest strike rate," he said.
He further added, "The opposition's dirty politics against PM Modi and his mother have been rejected by the voters of Bihar. They will now blame EVMs after the election results, as they always do"

Jan Suraaj spokesperson Pavan Verma said that the party worked tirelessly with dedication and a heartfelt intention to bring fundamental change in Bihar, and there was no shortcoming in that. "It will be up to analysis and fate, but our thinking was right, our intentions were pure, and there was no lack of effort in what we did. Now, if people do not trust us and we do not win, we will reconsider that,â he said.
"Look, this is a government of good governance. The people have once again voted for development. They have reposed their faith in the developmental work done under the leadership of the honourable Chief Minister, in the NDA under the leadership of respected Nitish Kumar ji and Prime Minister Modi ji,â says a JD(U) leader.
The ruling NDA was leading in 166 seats, surpassing the majority mark of 122, in early trends as counting was underway for the Bihar assembly polls as per EC. The opposition INDIA bloc was way behind, leading in 59 of the 243 seats in the assembly. The tally is likely to change with several rounds of counting still left.

BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla said that the early trends are positive for NDA. He said, "People have voted for Modi-Nitish good governance in Bihar."
BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the final numbers will be even stronger than predicted. Todayâs results prove the outstanding work done by the NDA under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar ji.
With trends suggesting the NDA heading towards a comfortable victory, Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge says, "It is early trend. There has been no confirmation of crossing the halfway mark yet. We will see how it goes."
