At least four Supreme Court judges have been infected by the Covid-19 virus, and a fifth one recovered recently.

The four includes a judge who is part of the five-judge Constitution Bench hearing petitions seeking legal recognition of same-sex marriages.

Yet another judge on the bench is learnt to have suffered a fall, following which he has been advised rest. Consequently, the hearing in the matter scheduled for Monday has been put off.

The virus had hit the court pretty badly in the first two phases of the pandemic, leaving several judges and hundreds of other court staff infected.
