The National Lok Adalat will be conducted in Delhi on Saturday, September 13, 2025, to allow motorists to settle their overdue traffic challans.
It is organised by the Delhi Traffic Police and the Delhi State Legal Services Authority and provides an opportunity to address compoundable violations of traffic laws swiftly and, in most cases, at a reduced cost.
The initiative will take place throughout seven court complexes in the capital: Patiala House, Karkardooma, Rouse Avenue, Tis Hazari, Dwarka, Saket, and Rohini.
The proceedings will take place on Saturday from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M., and in a statement issued on September 6, the Delhi Traffic Police stated on X (formerly Twitter),
“National Lok Adalat for settling pending Compoundable Traffic Challans and notices to be held on 13th September, 2025 (Saturday), at all Court Complexes, Delhi, from 10 am to 4 pm. Avail yourself of this opportunity to get cleared of pending challans/notices.”
Download and print their challans/notices beforehand by browsing the Delhi Traffic Police website or by scanning the QR code sent by the department.
The option to download challans will be available today (September 8) at 10 a.m., with a daily limit of 60,000 challan downloads, totalling 180,000 challans.
Authorities have advised motorists to download their challans as soon as possible to avoid missing out after the limit has been reached.
A Lok Adalat session is limited to two challans and five notices for individual cars and two challans or notices for commercial vehicles.
What are the documents required:
In addition to a copy of the challan/notice, the vehicle’s registration certificate (RC) and the owner’s ID are required papers for settling challans at Lok Adalat.
