The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has released the results for the West Bengal Civil Service preliminary exam 2023 at its official website. Candidates who appeared for the examination can check it on, psc.wb.gov.in.
This year, 4960 candidates have cleared the WBCS prelims examination. Qualified students can now appear for the WBCS mains examination.
Step 1: Visit the official website — psc.wb.gov.in.
Step 2: On the home page, under the ‘what’s new section’, click on the ‘Download prelims results’ link.
Step 3: Select the link and download the pdf file.
Once done, candidates will find 19 page long document. The document also carries cut off for the candidates. The cut off for the general candidates is 101.25, followed by OBC (A) and (B) categories having the same cut off of 101.25. While for SC, 94.50 and ST 76.25.
The WBCS Prelims 2023 was conducted on December 16 with various centres across the state. The answer key was released on December 23 followed by opening of objections window on December 30 which was closed on January 5, 2024. For more details candidates can check the official website of the WBCS.
Meanwhile, the Commission in a notification has informed candidates that for the post of deputy director of Archaeology in the West Bengal General Service in the Directorate of Archaeology and Museums have not found any eligible candidates for the post in terms of advertised essential qualifications.
