The National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) has opened applications for its free Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) coaching programme. The free coaching organised under the SC-ST Cell is aimed at supporting students from NIT Warangal and other engineering colleges in and around Warangal.
The GATE 2026 free coaching for eight weeks begins on November 17 and will run until January 9, 2026. According to an NIT Warangal statement, it will provide a structured schedule with classes held in the evenings from 5 pm to 9 pm, except on Sundays.
The coaching is open to students pursuing BTech in any branch, from NIT Warangal or neighbouring engineering institutes. Students are required to fill out a detailed application form, which asks for basic personal information, academic record, and proof of GATE 2025 registration if applicable.

Essential documents to be enclosed include the SSC certificate, caste certificate, college ID or Aadhaar card, GATE 2025 application form, and a recent passport-sized photograph.
The classes will be conducted on the NIT Warangal campus and are strictly regulated. Attendance is mandatory, and missing four consecutive classes may result in cancellation of admission. Consistent attendance – 90 per cent and above – will be rewarded at the end of the programme. Regular weekly exams will be held, and top performers will be recognised within each department.
The initiative emphasizes discipline, with strict rules on campus conduct and a ban on mobile phone use during class. Students must maintain their ID cards to enter college premises and the classroom, and all NIT campus rules apply

In 2026, GATE will be held on February 7, 8, 14 and 15. The application process for the GATE 2026 exam started on August 25. GATE 2026 will be held for a total of 30 test papers. Candidates can appear for one or up to two test papers only.
