The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) has introduced four new online postgraduate programmes in domains of climate finance and sustainability, renewable energy and e-mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and business leadership in digital age. GATE scores will not be used as a criterion for admission to these programmes. Applications for the first session set to be held in January have begun and will remain open till October 31. Candidates can apply at the official website— emasters.iitk.ac.in.
It will also be commence new sessions for existing eMasters programmes. Applications are being invited for new cohorts in Data Science and Business Analytics, Financial Technology and Management, Business Finance, Financial Analysis, Public Policy, Next Generation Wireless Technologies, Cyber Security as well as Power Sector Regulation, Economics, and Management.
The IIT Kanpur’s Climate Finance and Sustainability programme seeks to give a broad overview of financial strategies and sustainable initiatives; while the Renewable Energy and e-Mobility program would cater to the evolving alternative energy sector.
The programme in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning will prepare professionals to be adept at the rapidly evolving sector, and the Business Leadership in Digital Age program will upskill professionals in modern business dynamics.
The new programmes by the IIT Kanpur seek to offer a flexible completion timeframe of one to three years, catering to diverse schedules and comprising live interactive classes held exclusively on weekends, complemented by self-paced learning.
Each programme will comprise a 60-credit, 12-module curriculum designed to match industry needs. Faculty and researchers from IIT Kanpur will lead these programmes, lending their expertise to foster real-world application.

Participants can leverage the credit transfer feature, potentially waiving up to 60 credits for future higher education endeavors (MTech/PhD) at IIT Kanpur.
The programmes also will grant access to IIT Kanpur’s placement and incubation cells, and its extensive alumni network, enhancing participants’ career growth and networking opportunities. Enriching the learning journey, participants have the chance to visit IIT Kanpur’s campus, connect with esteemed faculty, and engage with seasoned professionals, eventually earning the distinguished IIT Kanpur alumni status, a institute statement said.
The eMasters programme at IIT Kanpur will provide senate-approved eMasters degrees at the convocation, rather than diplomas or certificates.
