Kinjal Ajmera has achieved an all India rank (AIR) 3 in the Chartered Accountant final exam, results of which were declared on December 26 night. She scored 493 (82.17 per cent).

Her success continued as she appeared for the CS Executive exams in December 2022 and achieved rank 1 there as well.

Born and raised in Kolkata, Kinjal credits her success to her family. Her father, a practicing Chartered Accountant running his own firm, played a pivotal role in shaping her aspirations.

“Having a ready reckoner at home was a huge advantage,” she said. Her mother, a homemaker, provided unwavering support throughout her academic journey.

Kinjal completed her Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from St Xavier’s College, Kolkata. She and her family recently relocated to Ahmedabad.

The 23-year old pursued online coaching to accommodate her demanding articleship schedule. She developed a disciplined routine, dedicating early mornings between 6 am and 9 am to her studies before heading to the office. After returning home, she resumed her preparation post-dinner, utilising weekends for longer study sessions.

“Taking out a few hours every day and making the most of weekends was crucial,” she tells indianexpress.com.

Her strategy involved breaking down the syllabus into manageable blocks and tackling them systematically. This method not only eased the pressure but also ensured thorough preparation.

Kinjal is now focused on completing her CS finals. She also plans to gain substantial work experience and is considering pursuing an MBA to further broaden her horizons. She advises aspirants to take one step at a time, focus on smaller goals, and consistently work towards them.
