
Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav was in Berlin for the two-day Petersberg Climate Dialogue last week. After attending back-to-back meetings and presenting India’s case on a number of issues related to climate change, Yadav managed to spare some time to explore Berlin’s historical sites. The minister visited three museums, including the Wall Museum, and the holocaust memorial.
With Karnataka’s high-voltage poll campaign nearing an end, the BJP has given a call for the last-minute push, enthused since the Congress manifesto promised to ban Bajrang Dal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Chitradurga rally on May 2 in which he attacked Congress on the issue was the turning point, sources in the BJP said. So, the party has now given a call for making “extra efforts” to take advantage of the “new situation”. Most of the campaign stars have been asked to do more rallies and roadshows on Monday, the last day of campaigning.
