Pune: Teacher booked for ‘sexually assaulting’ Class IX male student, probe on

A social activist, who helped the victim and his parents, said, “After the school got over at 12.20 pm, the teacher allegedly took the boy to the school toilet and sexually assaulted him. After returning home, he complained to his father."

The Pune City Police has booked a physical education teacher for allegedly sexually assaulting a male student of Class IX on Friday. Police officials said a probe has been launched based on the complaint lodged in the case.

A social activist, who helped the victim and his parents, said, “After the school got over at 12.20 pm, the teacher allegedly took the boy to the school toilet and sexually assaulted him. After returning home, he complained to his father. Then his parents approached me… We informed police after speaking to the boy”.

Police have booked the teacher under sections of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
