Dr Shah shares some tip on what is migraine and how to avoid it.

Reason: Stress,improper sleep routines,alcohol consumption,chronic discomfort from any disease,smoking,excess chocolates or cheese.
Symptoms: Pulsating headache,lasting form four to 72 hours and followed by nausea and vomiting,photophobia and phonophobia,aura,that is,flashes of light,patterns of light in from of the eyes.
Myth: Headache and vomiting is a gastroentrological problems
Fact: It may no necessarily be so. One must consult a neurologist regularly to make sure that headache and vomiting is not due to migraine.
Myth: Migraine is only headache
Fact: Headache is just a symptom not the problem,so painkillers should be avoided. Change in lifestyle along with medication is suggested.
Myth: It is a common disease
Fact: Migraine is one of the most under diagnosed and under treated disease so should not be taken lightly. It also increases chances of brain stroke
MythFact: Migraine cannot be cured; it can be controlled by identifying the trigger cause,preventive medication.
