Fire breaks out at loud speaker factory in Pune, no casualties

A major fire was reported at a loudspeaker factory in Manjari area of Pune early on Friday. No casualties were reported, the Pune Fire Brigade officials said.

According to the fire brigade, the blaze, which was reported at 4.45 am, spread across the 6,000-sqft premises of the factory made of tin sheds and metallic angles.

Materials such as speakers, amplifiers, cutting machines, wooden furniture, and electronic items were gutted.

Officials of Pune and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) Fire Brigade rushed to the spot and doused the flames within 45 minutes.

Attempts were on to ascertain the cause of the fire, the officials said.
