After Pakistan terror attack, security up at key units in Pune

Pune police tightens noose with 12-point security plan, vehicle, hotels checking post Pakistan terror strike.

In the backdrop of the terror strike on the Army Public School in Peshawar in Pakistan, the security of vital installations in and around the city has been stepped up, the Pune police said on Wednesday.

An alert was issued in various cities in India including Pune following the hostage situation in Sydney on Tuesday.
Deputy commissioner of police (Special Branch) Shrikant Pathak said, “We have already stepped up checks and nakabandis across the city. In addition to that, we have stepped up the security of the various vital installations in the city.”

Pune Police Commissioner Satish Mathur said that, “There is already a 12-point security plan in place in the city. And accordingly random vehicle checking and the checking of hotels and lodges is on.”
