The pros and cons of television,internet

TV or Internet causes more harm than good.

Train a child in the way he should go,and when he is old,he will never turn from it: Proverbs 22:6. Amongst all the creatures made by God,man has the power of reasoning and absorbing knowledge. Talking about the effect of anything on a generation,it will always depend upon the upbringing and sanskar — the values with which a child is nurtured. As said in the Bible,once a child is trained well with proper values,he or she will will always think positive and have a positive attitude,no matter what environment he or she is in.

Just as coin has two sides,television and computers also have both positive and negative aspects. Talking about positive aspects,they have the whole world under one roof. However,the negative aspects are more as in today’s world of competition and freedom,people have started growing at a faster rate. It is high time that we do not let computers and TVs spoil our and the nation’s future. I firmly believe that TV and internet do more harm than good.

Internet. According to us teenagers,it’s one of the greatest things to happen to us.TV is also one of them. We can hardly live without them; living without them would be like living in the medieval times. Some of the greatest things about them are social networking,help with homework,entertainment. People working in offices require internet and when they go back home,TV helps them relax. In fact,some of us seem to think that without internet,a computer would be quite useless. Both,internet and TV can have negative and positive effects. Watching a programme together can bring a family together. Internet makes everything so effortless,mostly everything. The fact that they can actually harm so many people isn’t exactly invisible. I conclude with the fact that TV and internet bring more harm than good but again,this depends on the people using them.

The internet,a different world within,has become a part of our life. In the past few years,it has shaped the society in a way that we have started to rely on it and made it the most important factor in our lives. Internet is a product of high intelligence and technology. With a single click,we get everything happening under the sun. The most important aspect it is that it saves time,which is most crucial for the people living in the 21st century. It has created a huge community in the world. It has also has brought in innovation for the society in the form of new techniques for vocational training,virtual classrooms,cultural exchanges,and social networking.

An hour without it is impossible for today’s generation. I conclude internet is good for the society.

I believe that the reason why great technology,mostly TV and internet,exists is because it is beneficial to us. They are a great source of immediate,reliable information. Television and the internet have more pros than cons since they help us receive ideas,suggestions,directions,information and examples. Both are easily available and most trusted media. Internet connects people throughout the world and is the fastest mode for transfer of ideas and expressions. It has opinions of people around the globe leading to better creativity and thoughts. TV and internet expand thinking. They increase efficiency of a person and help give clarity in advice. Hence,they cause more good than harm.

Television and Internet have become the most appealing media today.

I am convinced that children have become slaves of internet and television. Earlier generations completed their assignments and projects on their own,using their creativity. Today,children depend only on the net to accomplish their tasks. It’s not only children,even adults have fallen prey to it.

With internet at hand,children deprive themselves of the experience and advice of elders. They do not use their intelligence and creativity.

Thus I would conclude that as long as internet and television exist,children will never grow up with nature and people around them.

Television is the most effective means of communication. We get to know the news from all over the world,whether it is political or economic. It is also the best means of entertainment. We come across programmes that provide us knowledge. It helps to improve our language,skill,vocabulary,etc.

However,there are both good and bad effects on children and society. Nowadays,children are addicted to internet,mobile,TV and ignore studies. Internet and television have more disadvantages than advantages.

These have an adverse effect on the young generation. People play online games,and waste time surfing. People are being misdirected,teased and abused on the internet. The negatives of internet and TV far outweigh the positives.

Internet is one of the most important parts in our life. A number of things can be done using the internet. One can say that with internet,we are progressing in every sphere of life,as it not only makes our task easier but also saves time.

Television also has a number of uses. It is a medium of entertainment. Television can be used to teach. Special programs can be useful for the general public. Political television programmes bring political leaders and their views close to people. As every coin has two sides,modern inventions are a blessing as well as curse. It is not possible to judge whether internet or TV brings harm or than good. The answer to this question depends on an individual’s thought process.

Television and internet have their bright side as well as their dark side. Naturally,like many amenities,they are partly a blessing and partly a curse. Broadly speaking,TV has proved a blessing to us in many ways. We have welcomed TV as a means of entertainment and amusement. Internet gives us information about people and places. It offers us learning,games and downloads. Social networking sites have a negative impact on us,especially students,who neglect studies.

On the other hand,TV is called the idiot box. Too much television or internet is injurious to our health. It affects our social life. To conclude,I would say that television and internet are a blessing as well as a curse.

Children of the 21st century find themselves growing up with television and internet. The reins that control them are no longer in the hands of their parents. Children often find themselves prey to social networking sites,chatting with their newfound online ‘friends’. The internet and TV also have adult-oriented content,which is not be suitable to children. Children are also exposed to online bullying and may be taken advantage of.
