Ajit Pawar loses cool
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar seems to have developed a style of answering questions journalists put forth by raising his voice. Last week in Pune, Pawar pointed out that the way journalists change jobs for better prospects, politicians also leave one party to join another. Journalists, hinting at his switching sides, countered his observation by asking him whether he followed any principles in politics. Pawar, visibly upset at the insinuation, suddenly changed the topic, explaining how parties with different ideologies had come together against the emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi.

FIR: Talk of the town
An FIR recently registered in a high profile case by Mumbai Police, has become a hot potato for them. While there have been murmurs around how police may have dragged their feet in initially registering the FIR, and the victim’s lawyer alleging that police tried their best to not register an FIR, senior officers have denied the charges. With the names of former and current police officers being dragged in the case, everyone is tracking the progress in the case closely.
