An IndiGo flight from Kochi to Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing at Nagpur airport on Tuesday morning following a reported bomb threat. The flight, 6E 2706, had taken off from Kochi at 9:20 am and was scheduled to arrive in Delhi by 12:35 pm.

However, an email warning of a bomb onboard was received by Kochi airport authorities around 9 am, which mentioned the flight number. Following standard security protocols, the flight was diverted to Nagpur, where it landed safely, informed DCP Lohit Matani.

Sources at Nagpur airport confirmed the emergency landing, and the bomb squad immediately inspected the aircraft. DCP Matani informed that all passengers have been deboarded and further investigation is underway. However, nothing suspicious has been found so far. Primary investigation indicates that the threat appeared to be a hoax.

Airport officials informed that the flight took off at around 3 pm, after thorough investigation.
