Court allows Sachin Waze to execute power of attorney to wife for publication business

The Special court designated under the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday allowed dismissed police officer Sachin Waze who was the main accused in the Antilla bomb scare case, to execute Power Of Attorney (POA) to his wife to continue with his earlier publications and begin new ones.

Waze had submitted that he desired to publish a newspaper reporting on crime and court proceedings across India to educate law students, investigators and create awareness on legal issues among common people.

Advocate Rounak Naik on behalf of Waze moved an application before special judge AM Patil seeking permission for execution of POA to his wife for publication of Waze’s books and sought to execute it before notary present in premises of special court.

“He is allowed to execute the same before the Notary Public present in the premises of this court,” judge Patil noted.

Waze is the main accused in Antilia bomb scare case and the death of businessman Mansukh Hiran and is presently in judicial custody and lodged at Taloja Central Prison in Navi Mumbai.
