Collected in June by the district health department,two samples failed safety test on Monday.

According to a report issued by District Health Officer Dr Abnash Kumar,samples of aam papad and sweet chamcham have failed the test.

While the aam papad collected from a shop near Bharat Nagar Chowk has been found to be misbranded,the chamcham collected from a shop in Haibowal has been found to be adulterated with non-permitted pink shade. It is unfit for consumption as per the report. The DHO said action would be taken under the Food Safety Act.
