The Punjab Local Bodies Ministry on Friday issued suspension orders against the Ludhiana Municipal town planner Rajkumar.
Sources in the local body headquarters in Chandigarh said that the orders had been passed by Local Bodies Minister Chunni Lal Bhagat himself. Bhagat also visited Ludhiana MC headquarters on Friday to attend an event.
The MTP has been suspended for neglect of duty and orders will reach the MC headquarters on Monday, a source told Ludhiana Newsline.
An inquiry of alleged fund embezzlement is also pending against Rajkumar,for an incident which allegedly occured when he was posted in Jalandhar before Ludhiana.
