Car rams into truck,2 killed

Two persons were killed after the car in which they were travelling rammed into a truck,which was parked on the wrong side of the road,on Saturday. Ashleen Luthra and Harsimaranjit Singh,both residents of Ludhiana,were killed in the accident.

Two persons were killed after the car in which they were travelling rammed into a truck,which was parked on the wrong side of the road,on Saturday. Ashleen Luthra (23) and Harsimaranjit Singh,both residents of Ludhiana,were killed in the accident. The driver of the truck fled from the spot,leaving the truck behind.

On Saturday,around 3 am,an Innova car (MH 04 DN 4255) hit a stationary truck (PB 11 AM 9525) in Hallomajra near Mohali. The car was travelling from Chandigarh to Ludhiana and had five occupants at the time of the accident.

Ashleen and Harsimranjit along with the other occupants of the car were taken to PGI by the police. Both succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.

Bhagat Ram,Investigating Officer (IO),said,The accident occurred due to wrong parking of the truck. We have registered a case against the driver of the truck.

A case of causing obstruction in a public way and causing death by negligence has been registered at the Balongi police station.
