A youth was on Saturday arrested for allegedly raping his minor step-sister in Chowk area.
Police said the accused,Raju (name changed),21,a resident of Chowk area,who used to sell eggs at a kiosk,was taken into custody after his father,a resident of Ashiana area,lodged an FIR against him.
The father alleged that he had left his ten-year-old daughter at his mothers place in Chowk area as he was taking his wife to a hospital for treatment on Wednesday. Raju,who is the complainants son from his first wife,stays with his grandmother. According to the complainant,Raju raped the minor when she was with him on Wednesday.
Chowk Station House Officer I P Singh said Raju was arrested after his father lodged a complaint on Saturday.
