CHIEF MINISTER Yogi Adityanath on Saturday inspected the ongoing construction work of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and convened a review meeting of ongoing development works in the city.
During the review meeting, Adityanath emphasized that all construction projects should be completed within the specified time frame, “with high quality”. The CM also issued instructions to officials regarding preparations for the coming Deepotsav festival and directed them to ensure better facilities for the devotees arriving
in Ayodhya.
The CM has recently set a target of lighting 21 lakh lamps during the coming Deepotsav and the state government has called for lighting of lamps in every household of Ayodhya, in addition to the Ram ki Paidi, Ghats, Math temples, Suryakund and Bharat Kund.
Earlier in the day, Adityanath reached Digambar Akhada, where he performed puja at the temple and offered his respects at the statue of Saketvasi Mahant Paramhans.
The Chief Minister also participated in the ‘Mahanti’ ceremony of Pramukh Mahant Suresh Das and the new Mahant, Ramlakhan Das. During the meeting with the sadhus, he discussed several developmental aspects related to Ayodhya.
The CM earlier offered floral tributes at the samadhi of Mahant Paramhans Ramchandra Das on his one-day visit to Ayodhya on Saturday. He offered prayers at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi for the well-being and prosperity of the country and the people of the state, said a release issued by the state government.
Later in the day, the Chief Minister collected details about the progress of the construction work of the Ram temple. Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and other members of the Trust, along with officials associated with construction work, were present during the inspection.
Adityanath also interacted with the labourers working at the construction site.
