THE UP government and the BJP are making grand plans to mark the completion of one year of the second term of Yogi Adityanath-led government in the state and also highlight Adityanath becoming the longest serving Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Adityanath took oath as CM for the second consecutive term on March 25, 2022, after the BJP government returned to power by winning 255 seats.

On Saturday, ministers in the government, along with office-bearers of the BJP, will take the message of “change in perception towards the state” in the past six years by listing its achievements at the state and district level.

On March 1 this year, Adityanath made the record of being the CM for the longest time in Uttar Pradesh (5 years 346 days).

Before Adityanath, Sampurnanand of the Congress had been the Chief Minister of UP for the longest time (5 years and 345 days) from 1954 to 1960. On March 25, Adityanath will complete six years and six days in office.

As per the plan, while Adityanath will personally list the achievements of his terms in office on March 25, ministers in charge of different districts, party MLAs and MPs will highlight the achievements at district level.
