Fire engulfs metro warehouse, scrap godown in UP’s Kanpur

A fire broke out at a metro warehouse and scrap godown Saturday morning (Oct 11) in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.  Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The fire broke out near Morang Mandi in the Panki police station area.


Chief Fire Officer Deepak Sharma says, “Considering the intensity and spread of the fire, six-seven fire engines were deployed initially, with additional vehicles ready if needed. Upon arrival, we saw the situation and realised that surrounding areas were at risk. The first task was containment, which our team successfully achieved in a specific perimeter.”
