BSF jawan kills father,brother over property dispute

A BSF jawan murdered his father and a brother and left another brother injured following an altercation over property in City Kotwali area of Baghpat district on Thursday evening.

Lucknow: A BSF jawan murdered his father and a brother and left another brother injured following an altercation over property in City Kotwali area of Baghpat district on Thursday evening.

The accused,who is posted in West Bengal,fled the spot after the incident.

Circle Officer (CO) of Baghpat City,Rajni told The Indian Express that BSF jawan Praveen Kumar and his brother Sanjiv had an argument with their father Eeshwar Singh (60) and brothers Manoj (35) and Mithun (25) over possession of a room.

The altercation turned violent as Praveen picked up his licenced .312 bore gun and fired indiscriminately at his father and brothers. While Singh and Manoj died on the spot,Mithun sustained bullet injury on his hand. He was rushed to a Delhi hospital,the CO said.
