During the inauguration of a 1200-bed multi-speciality private hospital in Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram, Yashoda Medicity, Chief Minister Adityanath said Uttar Pradesh was “witnessing a new era in healthcare investment and innovation”.
“This is not just a hospital but a new definition of world-class healthcare infrastructure,” he said, adding, “residents of Uttar Pradesh would no longer require travelling to Delhi for advanced medical treatment”.
He also said the project had created employment for over 5,000 people, reflecting the “changing investment climate” of the state.
President Droupadi Murmu, who inaugurated Yashoda Medicity, lauded the hospital for its “focus on indigenous medical research” and urged it to collaborate with institutes like IIT Bombay to promote technologies such as cancer gene therapy.
“Healthcare is the foundation of nation-building. Institutions like Yashoda Medicity play a vital role not only in treatment but also in research and innovation. Yashoda Medicity has aligned itself with national health priorities and emerged as a symbol of affordable, world-class healthcare for all,” the President said.
She also praised the hospital’s “commitment” to addressing diseases prevalent in tribal regions, including sickle cell anemia.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who also attended the event, said India’s true empowerment lay in the health of its citizens. “Every step, every policy, and every effort of our government is dedicated to uplifting the poor, the underprivileged, and the rural population. We believe that India’s true empowerment lies in the health of its citizens,” Singh said.
