One person was killed by suspected Maoists at Sankrail,West Midnapore,on Wednesday. The police recovered the bullet-riddled body of Churamnai Mahato beside the road at Sankrail in the morning.

Jhargram Additional SP Mukesh Kumar said Mahato was abducted from his house at Sankrail by suspected Maoists on Tuesday night. Kumar said that the police have started the investigation and are trying to ascertain whether he is involved with any political party.
