In retaliation against the CBI naming PCAPA chief Asit Mahato as main accused in the Jnaneswari Express attack, the group released the names of nine CPM leaders on Friday and announced a bounty of Rs 1 lakh on their heads.

The list included the name of cabinet minister Sushanta Ghosh and the men,the PCAPA said, were responsible for the tragedy. The other eight are Lakshman Ghosh,Dahareswar Sen,Hiraralal Mahato,Annuj Pandey,Prasanto Das,Arjun Mahato,Dhruba Sannigrahi and Manik Mahato.

Announcing that the group will boycott the CBI investigation,Manoj Mahato,a leader of the PCAPA — a frontal organisation of the Maoists — said the nine CPM leaders will be “punished in a kangaroo court”.

“If CBI can announce reward money on our leaders,we can also do so,” he said. “We will collect Rs 9 lakh by begging”.

The PCAPA,he said, had demanded a CBI probe as they thought it would be neutral investigation. “But it seems some of the officers recruited by the CPM have started probing into the matter. That is why they have framed Asit Mahato, our chief in this incident.”

The PCAPA will observe ‘Black Day’ on June 23 and 24 over the issue,Mahato added.
