Criticising the CPM for organising the anti-communalism convention held in Delhi,Trinamool Congress general secretary and state cabinet minister Partha Chatterjee said the CPM should first manage its own party before thinking about a Third Front.
CPM Wednesday organised the convention, which was attended by 17 national political parties.
The Left parties should first try to manage their own party before trying to organise a front, said Chatterjee.
He added any effort on the part of the CPM is now to regain lost ground in Bengal. But all these efforts will be futile as Bengal has have forgotten them.
The CPM leadership rubbished Chatterjee. We are the only party which has the understanding of forming a coalition party. The CPM is believed to be the father of coalition politics. We had run a government with nine parties and now in the Left Front, there are 11 parties, said senior CPM leader Rabin Deb.
Meanwhile,Chatterjee said the party has postponed its rally at Brigade parade grounds scheduled on November 25 to thank people for its electoral success. The rally will be held January 30,2014
