The petitioner claimed that the Sub-Divisional Officer of the area had denied permission citing the ongoing secondary examinations by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) being underway.
Justice Amrita Sinha said on Friday, “Since it is (scheduled for) a Sunday and it is only a programme of one hour and 15 minutes, the Calcutta High Court does not think anyone will have difficulty.”
The conditions include conducting the meeting “peacefully” and according to the rules of the WBBSE board examinations.
