In a bid to promote cutting edge research in science and engineering,the Bengal Engineering and Science University (BESU) is entering into collaboration with various institutions and industrial houses involved in research and development. The university on Tuesday entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Institute For Steel Development and Growth (INSDAG),a non-profit organistion established by the Government of India under the Ministry of Steel and is likely to have tie ups with many other industrial houses in near future. In association with the INSDAG,the University will come up with a steel research centre at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore in the university.
