Despite Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani’s solemn announcement that he would not celebrate Holi in the wake of last year’s terror attack on Mumbai, many BJP leaders in the Capital are already hopping from one Holi Milan function to another. The party leaders, most of them eyeing one of Delhi’s seven Lok Sabha seats, are visiting the constituency they hope to get.

So,while Vijay Goel has been on a whirlwind tour of Gole Market,South Extension and other areas of New Delhi constituency,Ramesh Biduri, who is making a pitch for the South Delhi ticket, has visited all the district and mandal offices there.

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijay Kumar Malhotra, meanwhile,is sticking to his own Holi bash at home.

But these Holi Milan functions are sure turning out to be a bit of an embarrassment for senior party leaders as many workers are using the excuse of Holi to vent out their anger towards leaders.

The Congress leaders, meanwhile, are keeping a low profile. Reason: no one has a clue about the command from 10,Janpath.
